Warblers, teals and kites, melodious linnets, music thrushes, not forgetting the stork and its characteristic gliding flight.
Some have disappeared. New, undesirable species are worrying pond owners. Such is the case of the cormorant.Closer to the water, mallards, grey herons, geese, shelducks and swans compete for space. For most of the year, the songs of the birds animate the Dombes, and man is a spectator.
