Monts Jura resort

Straddling the Valserine and Gessian Piedmont, Monts Jura sets the scene for the most Geneva-based of the Jura Mountains resorts to look its best in winter and summer alike. On the massif’s highest peaks, including the inevitable Crêt de la Neige (1720 m). It’s magical!

Whether you’re a young child, a keen sportsman or a senior citizen, there’s something for everyone. Beautiful views, magnificent flowers, fantastic nature.

The four Monts Jura estates

A somewhat atypical resort, Monts Jura is divided between 4 villages and as many ski areas. Mijoux, Lélex, Crozet, Chézery-Forens (Menthières), the resort occupies the terrain and alternates the pleasures of skiing. 3 downhill ski areas total nearly 60 km of pistes.

North of the Col de la Faucille, the La Vattay ski area, dedicated exclusively to Nordic skiing, is a “must” in the whole region, with 160 km of double-track runs (classic and skating).

The four Monts Jura estates

It’s not all winter in Monts Jura. Lovers of outdoor activities know that there’s plenty to do here: summer tobogganing, mountain biking, golf, paragliding, a giant zip line and, of course, hiking trails right in the heart of the Haute Chaîne du Jura nature reserve. “The natural and cultural riches of the Jura Mountains, with their typical mountain heritage, add to the charm of the area.
