The estate’s owner, Jacques Dalloz, having discovered golf, saw in this natural environment the perfect setting for an exceptional golf course. This golfing staple has now been passed down in the family.

The course unfolds in harmony with this unspoilt setting. Authenticity reigns in this bucolic setting. The typical Bresse architecture, the omnipresent nature and the flora and fauna make your round of golf a privileged opportunity to observe the beautiful nature of the Dombes region.

Beautiful, unspoilt surroundings, a perfectly restored clubhouse, a well-kept course and a top-notch restaurant! We had a great day’s golf and enjoyed the playful course, with its superb trees and challenging greens.

The La Bresse golf course offers a varied, fairly flat layout whose apparent ease is deceptive. Ponds, slopes – there’s no shortage of difficulties to overcome for experienced technicians, who will approach the steep, well-defended greens with thoughtfulness.

To score on this Jeremy Pern-designed course, you need to have a good grasp of the game.

Beginners will discover golf on the 6-hole course with two tees, perfect for training in real conditions with all the attributes of a classic 18-hole course: bunkers, water hazards, fairways… It’s an ideal course for families, friends and even solo players!

The forest with its century-old trees and the rich flora and fauna of this former hunting estate give this splendid course its exceptional character. To preserve this setting, the Golf de la Bresse is actively committed to limiting its impact on the environment and developing biodiversity.

The golf course invests to combine sporting excellence with ecological awareness: ecopasturing, flowering fallows, sustainable pond management, reasoned forest maintenance, green waste management (mulching and composting), soil improvement…

A commitment that goes hand in hand with raising golfers’ awareness and getting them involved: raising pitches, respecting flora and fauna… The pleasure of the game and respect for nature go hand in hand in this magnificent natural setting.

The Golf de la Bresse’s commitment, shared with the Golf du Domaine du Gouverneur, was recognized in 2022 by its Silver label as part of the Golf pour la Biodiversité program, initiated by the Fédération Française de Golf and the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle. The golf course is now aiming for the Gold label.
