The River Ain, the central axis of the region, links 4 different but complementary regions: Bresse and Dombes to the west, Bugey and Pays de Gex to the east.

Ain’s varied topography has given rise to a highly diversified range of cycling itineraries for all levels, designed to showcase the department’s tourist attractions. Take the full measure of them for an escapade that, depending on your level or your desire, can last a few hours or a few days.
