The Graines de lecteurs Award is the first literary prize for young children in Aindinois, who choose their favourite book each year!
Objectives:
· Encourage opportunities for adults/parents/children to interact and share experiences around books from small and medium-sized publishers
· Develop observation skills regarding the behaviour of young children when reading at the library, nursery, daycare centre or with their parents
· Enable library staff to offer activities for middle and upper nursery school children and then give them the opportunity to extend these to lower nursery school children or early childhood if there is a facility in the municipality.
· Create links and partnerships
· This is the children's first vote, a way of introducing them to citizenship in the same way as real voters, using a ballot paper, a ballot box, a voting booth, etc.
