A night suspended in the air? It's a crazy and charming experience. On the side of a rock face, you can watch the sun set over the beautiful Albarine valley, before dreaming sweet dreams in a bivouac 300 m above sea level. Vertiginous!

An original experience for lovers of nature and the great outdoors. How does it work? A portaledge is a structure attached to the side of a cliff. Guided by an instructor, you take your place on your suspended bivouac for an evening overlooking the beauty of the Albarine gorges in the heart of the Bugey region.

Access

From Lyon, head for Ambérieu-en-Bugey, then Tenay. In Tenay, go up to Hostiaz, as far as the gite d'étape de la Fora (village center), then turn left after the gite and continue straight ahead on a dirt track.

From here, the via is signposted. At the parking lot, continue on foot to the end, towards the viewpoint, then descend to the left along the cliff. After about 300 m, you'll find a cable on a tree at the edge of the cliff - the start of the ferrata. There are no further indications, so it's advisable to be accompanied by a professional.
