Saint-André-sur-Vieux-Jonc, a rural village which has the particularity of being half Dombes, half Bresse since a part with ponds, belongs to the silts of the Dombes of glacial origin and the other part is similar to the plain of Bresse. About ten kilometers separate us from Bourg-en-Bresse which is home to the Royal Monastery of Brou, the favorite monument of the French in 2014. The Ain offers four beautiful and very contrasted regions on the same territory. In addition to Bresse and Dombes, tourists can also discover Bugey and Pays de Gex where the Ain has also been honored with the medieval city of Pérouges (4th favorite village in 2013) and the Japanese garden "Paradiz'en" (3rd in 2013).
