This atypical building is ideal for your gatherings and events, a weekend or a friendly vacation in a unique and peaceful setting guaranteed!
You will first discover its courtyard with its low stone wall and its corner of greenery, its zinc basins full of flowers along the wooden fence, you will enjoy the shade of the apple tree and according to the season, you will pick its fruits directly from the tree. At the end of the day, you will take out the ping-pong table and the petanque balls at your disposal, engage in joyful games which will extend as an aperitif until dusk.
You will then access the main house and appreciate its spacious rooms, spread over 3 levels, the old which mixes with the modern with a very current decoration. Its thick stone walls keep it cool in summer, its exposed beams and its attic rooms give it an incredible cachet.
The dining room open on the kitchen is without doubt the heart of the house. Before a bike ride in the Tréconnas woods just across the street or to the Mont July overlooking the village, you can eat some home-made cold cuts, Bresse blue cheese or Comté cheese bought during your visit to the cheese factory in Villereversure, a neighboring village. In the evening, you will set the wooden table, close to the old stove still in use, to taste the famous Bresse capon with cream, pike quenelles with Nantua sauce and crayfish butter, frogs from the nearby Dombes ponds that you will accompany with elegant Bugey wines before sharing the Bresse pie... a delight for culinary lovers. From the large bay window, you will enjoy the view: open up, the garden awaits you! The wooden terrace, the flowers, trees and shrubs create a bucolic setting. You will enjoy the armchairs and sunbeds, open the umbrellas and take time to relax and share while the children play outdoor games on the lawn. A walk to the beautiful Vallière waterfall in the heart of the village or a hike to the vineyards of the Pont des Vendangeurs will round out the late afternoon. The Weber barbecue is on its way, the plancha is out, you can set up the big table under the canvas and start a nice evening on the terrace.
The 2 lounges offer a space for everyone. Comfortably installed in the velvet armchairs in the entrance hall, some will be able to play board games while others will enjoy the large television screen on the sofas of the second living room upstairs, or borrow some novels from the library to take a rest by the authentic stone fireplace and its modern insert.
The rooms, decorated with care and comfort, are spread over two levels and offer different spaces, the garden side being reserved for the youngest. Guaranteed laughter, bedtime stories and pillow fights. On the opposite side, the stone and wood master bedroom offers a more intimate and soothing setting. The charming bathroom will invite you to take a few drops of bubble bath for a pleasant moment. The spiral staircase leads to two bright attic bedrooms, one of which can be arranged as a king size bed or two single beds depending on your needs, with a second large screen television.
You will find a country decoration in the shower room of the last level, flowers of the fields in the vases, old doors diverted restored by my care.
