Every December since 1862, Bresse breeders have been exhibiting and selling their finest fine poultry at four competitions known as the Glorieuses de Bresse. An internationally renowned event!
The Bresse competition takes place on Friday December 13:
Opening at 10 a.m. and official visit at 2 p.m., followed by the prize-giving ceremony.
Guided tours on reservation at the Tourist Office: 04 74 22 49 40 or on bourgenbressedestinations.fr - Charge.
Poultry rolling demonstration and many other activities.
Fast-food catering provided by the Comité des Fêtes. Enjoy the "Planche des Glorieuses"!
The Assiette des Glorieuses is available from participating restaurateurs in Bourg-en-Bresse and the surrounding area (list available from the Comité des Fêtes and the Tourist Office).

Twentieth edition of the Crête d'or competition
The competition organized by the town takes place on Thursday, December 11.
Organized by the City of Bourg-en-Bresse as part of the Glorieuses de Bresse, the Prix de la Crête d'Or
offers a panel of celebrity judges a tasting of poulardes de Bresse from prize-winning breeders at the Glorieuses 2024 de Bourg-en-Bresse.
The results will be announced on Friday December 12, the day of the Glorieuse de Bourg.
