At the top of the hill stands this 7th 50m² lodge, which has the unusual feature of being on 2 levels. Access to the Taillet is via a "footbridge", leading to the interior of the lodge.

At top of hill the 7th lodge (50 sq.m.) is on two levels. Le Taillet is accessed via same level 'footbridge' leading to interior of lodge. Entry direct into large living room with 2 picture windows opening onto rectangular terrace (17 sq.m.), with commanding view of river Ain, which has sun in afternoon and part of evening. Main room with spring green décor has 'garden-style' dining area and at night becomes a sleeping area with 150cm wide fold-down bed for 2 people, 'hidden' in wall cupboard/shelf unit. Open-plan mezzanine (narrow stairs to access) is cosy private space (2 single beds) even though it overlooks living room. Below mezzanine stairs: practical kitchenette (2 ring ceramic hob, small fridge with freezer compartment, microwave). Shower room off living room.|On arrival you are given a kit of 'basic' products. Le Taillet is also part of a 'nature' site with total of 7 cabins or lodges which blend perfectly into this forest of box trees in the heights above Serrières-sur-Ain, overhanging the river Ain. Each cabin has its own identity and is built on stilts 2 metres above ground, with totally secure access and terraces. Outstanding location in the Ain gorges: canoeing, rowing, swimming. Walking/hiking on the cliffs: GR (long distance footpath) and PR (local footpaths).
