After the last ice age, the water remained in a kind of basin, allowing the formation of this 17-hectare environment. The Oignons peat moor in Boz is similar to an acidic peat bog, an original environment in the region and at this altitude of 200 meters. Dominated by callune, mullein and birch, it comprises a peat bog and pools.
