Château de Sothonod, built in the 10th century, is a spacious and comfortable family home offering 5 guest rooms in the heart of the Valromey.
The property includes a five-hectare park with a swimming pool.

The Château, combining history with the comforts of modern life, will appeal to those seeking inspiration or a moment of relaxation and peace.
The communal rooms are large, high-ceilinged and tastefully decorated.
Meals are served in the large dining room and candlelit dinners in front of the medieval fireplace.

Most of the guest rooms are on the second floor.
- La Chambre Verte: a large room with a 160cm bed and a private, sunny sitting room (note the three steps to get there).
- The Chambre de St Arthaud with its 140cm bed.
- The Dormitory with its four bunk beds plus a double bed (140cm) behind curtains.
These rooms share the same shower room and WC, or can use the bathroom on the floor below.

If there is a group, a beautiful double bedroom decorated in Moroccan ochre tones can be added on the first floor, with a small blue bedroom with two single beds next door.
Three steps lead up to each of these two bedrooms, which face north and share the same bathroom.

The château is an hour from Geneva and Lyon and 30 minutes from Bellegarde-sur-Valserine TGV station. The nearest shops are 10km away in Champagne-en-Valromey. So you'll need a car to get around... and to see the magnificent natural sites all around!
