classified site since 1930, Lake Sylans was formed in the mid 16th century when a rock fall of a million m3 blocked the valley.
Its filtered waters emerge from the source of Doye prodiving the Neyrolles mineral water.
It is famous for its enormous pike. Its transparent waters are crystal clear depending on the season and sometimes tinged with green.
