An innovative immersive sound system, documentary film and large-scale drawings by David Giraudon reveal the painter's life, his bohemian milieu, his friendships with leading Parisian intellectuals and businessmen, his doubts and his fame. And ask questions about "impressionism", at the heart of his research.
