Here, the mountains loom large, the plains gently undulate and in between, rivers, forests and villages that whisper of history. Walk, taste and contemplate. Heritage can be read in the stone, flavors in the plate. This is a land to be felt as much as discovered.

Your freedom

In the Ain, freedom is measured in kilometers of trails, rivers to descend and summits to climb. Hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, cycling… Here, nature is a life-size playground. From the Plateau de Retord to the Gorges de l’Ain, via the crests of the Jura, every outing is an invitation to breathe, to surpass oneself, to reconnect. An open, wild space, just for you.

No time? Ain tops All you need to know in concentrated form

At the moment

ENJOY SPRING Prepare your getaway

April vacations, May bank holidays… the perfect time to get away from it all. In the Ain region, hikes are filled with the scent of daffodils, bike rides run along rivers, and visits are made without crowds. Birdwatching, picnicking on terraces, putting your nose back outside. In short, we’re living spring as it should be: free, light, in the midst of nature.

Share positive emotions

In the Ain region, summer rhymes with energy. Open-air concerts, dance festivals on summer evenings, cycling events to get the calves pumping… And for the little ones (and the curious ones), theme parks for all-day fun. Take a look at the calendar: there’s always something going on, and often not where you’d expect it.
