For a long time, Bresse was self-sufficient in terms of food: the land, worked over the centuries, had to be cared for. Beautiful hedged meadows, forage crops and corn (without irrigation) provide the ideal environment for raising dairy cows.
The quality and excellence of the milk produced by these cows, fed and raised in the best possible conditions, give Bresse butter and cream their unique characteristics.
