Golf du Domaine de Divonne Golf for experts

Facing Mont Blanc, one of France’s most beautiful golf courses rolls out its greens at Divonne-Les-Bains: a course for experienced golfers in the exceptional natural parkland of the Domaine de Divonne, with its ancient trees.

One of France's finest golf courses

Just 10 minutes from Geneva, in the Pays de Gex region, the Domaine de Divonne golf course is remarkable in more ways than one:

  • An 18-hole golf course in a wooded estate with remarkable trees: spruces, Atlas cedars, Italian poplars and Virginia tulip trees…
  • A course built in 1931 that blends perfectly into its natural surroundings.
  • A resort built around a luxurious hotel with Art Deco architecture, offering 3 restaurants and bars, a swimming pool, a wellness area and a casino.
  • At an altitude of 550 m, a 360° panorama of Mont-Blanc, the Alps and the Jura mountains.

An upscale paradise: Golf du Domaine de Divonne is one of the 50 most beautiful golf courses in France.

A beautiful course in a magnificent setting that highlights the charm of nature! Physical and demanding, technical and wooded with some slopes on the return, this course is not only beautiful, but also great fun to play.

A 4* course for experienced players

The course is renowned for its technical features, which will appeal to experienced players. It is reserved for golfers with an index of less than 36.0 who hold an official license.

With its varied, undulating layout, this natural course challenges you to use all your resources to complete the 18 holes (6 Par 3, 6 Par 4 and 6 Par 5). It has the unique feature of starting and finishing on a Par 3.

From early March to mid-December, it’s a pleasure for experienced golfers to combine strategy and technique on a beautiful course whose natural obstacles (slopes, trees, water) demand concentration and rigorous execution. You’ll be following in the footsteps of the great names of golf: Arnold Palmer or Severiano Ballesteros, Chris Dimarco or Ernie Els…

GOOD TO KNOW

Respecting nature

In 1931, the golf course and Grand Hôtel de Divonne, a perfect example of Art Deco architecture, were built at the instigation of Maurice Goudard, President of the French Golf Federation. The initial project was designed by the architect of the Office Technique du Golf in Paris. With respect for nature, he integrated trees, valleys and streams into the course.

The same philosophy inspired the 1963 design by English architect Donald Harradine. The course now blends perfectly with its surroundings and is more technical than ever. In 1972, Antoine d’Ormesson, in his turn, contributed to the development of Divonne into a golf course with an international reputation.

Since 2005, the golf course and Domaine de Divonne have belonged to the Partouche Group.
