Hiking and micro-adventures in Ain

Set off on an itinerant adventure in the Ain: loops on the Grandes Randonnées de Pays or long crossings, bivouacs, refuges, encounters and reconnection with nature. Leave everyday life behind.

Roaming in the Ain Walk, breathe, disconnect

Roaming means leaving the noise of the world for the silence of the trails. Chemin de Compostelle and Chemin d’Assise, GR®, GR® de Pays, GTJ… Whatever the route, the Ain offers you a beautiful escape. Days of walking, nights in refuges or under the stars, unexpected encounters, panoramas that stop time in its tracks. You’ll leave with a heavy bag and come back lighter.

GR® DE PAYS The Grand Tour de la Valserine (5 days)

It starts gently at Valserhône, with the Plateau de Retord stretching out peacefully beneath your feet. Then the climb takes hold, and your breath quickens. Giron, the highest commune in the Ain, marks the entrance to another world. Up there, the Haute Chaîne jurassienne awaits you: the highest peaks in the massif offer a balcony overlooking Lake Geneva, with views that leave you breathless. The air is fresher, the silence deeper. Then it’s back down to Valserhône, legs lighter and head full of wide-open spaces.
