The Monastère Royal de Brou in Bourg-en-Bresse, built in the 16th century on the orders of Marguerite d'Autriche, will fascinate you with its exuberant and refined architecture, magnificent stained-glass windows, princely tombs, altarpiece, lacework rood screen, choir stalls and three cloisters.

    2:30 pm: Guided tour of the Maison de Pays en Bresse eco-museum
    In Saint-Etienne-du-bois, discover 15th-century Bresse timber-framed and cob houses with the famous Saracen chimney.
    Reconstruction of the Bresse way of life from the 15th to the 20th century, old trades, the evolution of agriculture, architecture... At the end of the visit, we offer a snack to round off the day (Bresse tart with apple juice or a glass of Cerdon wine).
