Le Bout du Mas Coupé

In 2016 we renovated the southern end of our Bresse farmhouse, located on the borders of the Dombes, Revermont and Bresse regions, in the commune of Montagnat. The gite is designed for five or six people; we have chosen a layout and decoration that combines modern comfort and respect for the rural building. Our choice of renovation was to use ecological materials (lime, hemp, wood wool, earthen plaster) with local craftsmen. A spacious entrance (closet, cleaning equipment, fridge, washing machine and a toilet) leads to the living room open on the terrace by a large bay window, and the fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, food processor, fridge ....).
The first floor is reached by a beautiful staircase of craftsman in "ash-olive tree" which distributes, a balcony (for the sun in the evening), the bathroom (big shower and double washbasin), the mezzanine (sofa-bed of 140 or 2x70) very clear, two rooms with visible beams and sober decoration (two twin beds in 80), the one has sight on the garden and the mountain, the other one on the course. The three places are furnished with a small office chiné.

The region is full of museums, commercial or sports events, cultural activities are strong: exhibitions at the royal monastery of Brou or at H2M l'Hôtel Marron in Meillonnas, film festival in March (Cinémateur 01), theater! The Ambronay festival (baroque music) is 20 minutes away; Lyon, a vibrant city: 1 hour! International Geneva : 1h30 ! The Mäconnais, Beaujolais and Jura vineyards are close by....

We recommend hiking or biking without moderation: valley of the Ain and Suran, course of the ponds of the Dombes, the Bugey and Valromey!
Nearby: Bouvent is perfect for children (5 min), Chambod and the Ain river (canoeing in Pont d'Ain - 30 min).

To eat well, the Wednesday and Saturday markets are just right, as are the many superb restaurants in the nearby region!
What else is there ? Wifi, TV... and possibly a large attic to rehearse (piano), dance, work...
