Description
Al-Andalus is a flamenco creation brought together by artists from Switzerland, France and Spain.
Conceived as a space for dialogue between cultures and trajectories, Al-Andalus is part of a living flamenco in constant transformation. On stage, dance becomes the beating heart of the project, thanks to Grenadian dancer Macarena Mulero and Swiss dancer Antonio Perujo. Together, they deliver a sensitive performance of tension, listening and improvisation.
Alongside them, musicians shape the sound: Antonio Heredia's vocals, Miguel Calatayud's guitar, Juan Manuel Cortes' percussion and Marc Croft's violin. Al-Andalus is a group that crosses aesthetics and opens flamenco to other resonances.
An imaginary territory where heritages meet and reinvent themselves.
A moment of sharing, where dance and music unite to bring out that which cannot be mastered: "duende".
The musicians:
Macarena Mulero: dance; Antonio Perujo: dance; Antonio Heredia: vocals; Miguel Calatayud: guitar; Juan Manuel Cortes: percussion; Marc Crofts: violin
