Blanche was born on a winter morning, and the light streaming through the bedroom shutters on 24 December 1922 would give her her name.

Today she is getting on in years, at an age when one finds oneself alone in a retirement home, with a faltering memory. Tonight, she is standing before us as part of an intergenerational project. Blanche cooks us a soup, a seasonal soup, and takes the opportunity to share her recipe for life. Suddenly, memories come flooding back: those of her childhood on the farm, her loves, her emancipation in Paris... Almost like a human and moving 20th-century, the show unfolds before our eyes, tracing the thread of a life tinged with rural life, history, cultures and music. From her birth to her last breath, snippets and fragments of an existence reach us and tell us an odyssey. That of life...
