Experience inverted poses in a variety of ways, taking the necessary precautions and respecting each person’s physical and mental limits.
Some rightly inspire both fascination and apprehension, but others are very accessible, as an inversion is simply an asana in which the heart is positioned above the head. The benefits are numerous: increased body awareness, revitalisation of the body, strengthening of the shoulders, spine, neck and abdomen, stimulation of digestion and endocrine gland function, improved breathing and blood circulation, and oxygenation of the brain, resulting in reduced anxiety and stress and greater mental clarity.
